"Did anyone find out how they were funding their little adventures", says Sheila.
Carl suddenly fidgets, as though suddenly he has an itch in a place where he dare not scratch in front of others.
"Carl?" says Sarah looking at him askance.
"Yes, Carl", says Sheila.
"Could someone please explain?" Carol says.
"Here", says Sarah, "no one has money. We all live in poverty. We share everything."
"It is the largesse of our generous hosts", Michael says, "That's been keeping us alive."
"Carl", Melissa says, "Time to come clean."
"Why are you all looking at me", Carl says.
"So, that's where that money's been going", says Melissa.
"Hasn't anyone here ever heard of compassion?" says Carl. "They both felt their mental health was being threatened when Doug was here, so I wanted to help them get some away time."
"Away where?" says Sheila.
"Victoria. I would pay for their transportation and other costs, like for food and lodgings. It was just a couple of times."
"More than a couple", says Sarah.
""Must be nice to be loaded", Michael says, chuckling...
