"Dad did not want us, Melissa and I, to see this guy. He would always send us packing up to our rooms when Lindstrom came over, but we both spied on them, and I remember him clearly."
"Did you overhear their conversations?" says Francois.
"They talked about elders and meetings elsewhere on the property. Lindstrom also, in his last couple of visits, seemed decidedly displeased with Dad, and I even heard him scold him for not being cooperative. His very last visit happened the day before Dad shot himself. He told him there were consequences and Dad, who had been drinking , started yelling and swearing at him and ordered him off the property. And that's when the most chilling thing happened."
"What happened?" say I.
"Lindstrom, coolly and calmly told Dad, that his childish tantrums were not going to change anything, his destiny was already set, and that he should prepare for his destiny. It was as though he simply did not have emotions. Kind of like Mr. Spock from Star Trek, but way better looking and with normal ears..."
