"What was this community you were previously involved in?" I ask Glen.
"It was a trans-denominational affair, in Saanich, near the water, on the grounds of an old convent. The Place of the Transfiguration. Our landlords decided to sell it off for development purposes leaving us homeless, so Carl was kind enough to take us under his wing."
"How did you get there?"
"Father Griffin, of course." Glen I already like, completely. His gentle humour reminds me a bit of Aaron, and I imagine that they must know each other. "He was visiting us on a retreat and when he heard of our predicament, he said he would tell Carl and Melissa about us and see if we could find a new location for our community.
"That fills in a blank or two", say I.
"And of course, the others came, principally from the Abbey, but also Sarah and Maureen and Jennifer."
"And Douglas", says Sarah.
"From whom we are finally delivered", says Glen.
"I would have to say that we are all going to need some time to heal from his damage...and also from Robert Griffin, who really created a few problems of his own for us", she says.
"And who is this Tristan?" I ask.
"He's the guy standing here at the doorway eavesdropping on all or you." And there is a young man in a black T shirt and dark blue track pants glowering at us from he doorway..."
