"I suppose it could be called that", says Adam. "We did speak briefly about the island, and the mansion, and the fountain. Apparently, Stefan, or Peter, as we now know him, never drank from the fountain, and he alone seems to have a fully intact memory of the place."
"And he went to Paris, you say", says Carol.
"Those of us who have been to the Place of Refuge", says Adam, "We have each had a special call or vocation from birth. It is as though we are a different category of humans, with a particular divine orientation."
"But what do you do, exactly?" says Carol.
"We minister through presence", says Adam. "We have a particularly intimate sense of God's presence, and this empowers us to channel the presence and love divine in whichever places we are situated And we also thus grow in wisdom."
"Are there others like you here", says Carol.
"I can name each one here", he says. "Lazarus, who is my life companion, Sheila. Glen. Aaron. Jenn. Jesús. And you, what is your name again?" he says, turning to me.
"Christopher."
"Yes, Christ Bearer", Says Adam, "Especially you, Christopher..."
