"Are you two", says Carol to Adam and Lazarus, "Married. I mean, are you a couple."
"We don´t sleep together", says Lazarus.
"Well, sometimes we do", says Adam.
"Yeah, but not like that", Lazarus says giggling. "We're not a conjugal couple, but we are together."
"Very together", says Adam.
"We sometimes sit up to read together, usually in Adam's room, because there's more space. And the bed is bigger. We like to lean back together on the bed and read."
"And sometimes, we get super tired and fall asleep together."
"You guys are asexual", says Michael.
"Just another category", says Lazarus.
"Unlabeled", says Glen.
"We used to be a couple", says Matthew, glancing at Michael. "And we're still close."
"And we're still alive. We no longer sleep together", Michael says.
"We don't need to anymore", says Matthew. "Perhaps we never did."
"The upshot of it is", says Michael, "is that Adam and Lazarus managed to avoid making our mistakes in order to achieve the intimacy they both enjoy."
"Now we just get to make different mistakes", says Adam, laughing...
