"I will be turning sixty-two next month", says the deacon.
"I am sixty-one", says the priest as we all file out onto the deck. Francois and Carl have brought out extra chairs from the kitchen table, which they are now both portaging to hold the food and coffee cups.
"This is quite a sumptuous breakfast", says Deacon Jenkins- "Who prepared it?"
"Communal effort", says Carl. "Chris got the eggs ready, I cooked the French toast, then Chris prepared the fruit and Francois did the scramble eggs with cheese. And we have all been taking turns making coffee."
"And you are planning to start an intentional community", says the Reverend Wilson.
"I wouldn't call it intentional."
"No?" she says.
"We've been all thrown together", says Carl.
"Would you care to explain, please", says the deacon...
