"It's beautiful."
"Yes, it is. Why would a teenage boy approach a complete stranger like that and give them a flower?"
"Why indeed?"
"I've never seen him in the neighbourhood before. Have you? Would you happen to know his parents."
"We can only guess, Chelsea." She gets up to pour the coffee.
"Do you take sugar and cream?"
"Black is good. unsweetened."
"Just like my mother's partner. I can't abide coffee in its natural state. For me it always needs cream and sugar", she says, stirring her cup.
