"What sorts of mistakes", says Carl.
"We get really codependent sometimes", says Lazarus.
"Oh, bullshit", says Adam, "We just like to be together." He is laughing.
"All the time", says Lazarus, rolling his eyes.
"So whose fault is that?" says Adam, still laughing.
"We were doing some reading about identical twins", says Lazarus. "We are a lot like two identical twins, even though we're not related."
"That sounds very wonderful", says Carol. "Are you both homosexual?"
"Which one of us is going to dignify that with a reply", says Adam to Lazarus.
"We're unlabelled", says Lazarus.
"You mean it's none of my business", says Carol, a bit testy, I think.
"No", says Adam, "We are simply unlabelled. We don't fit in any category. And you know something else, Carol. Neither do you..."
"I daresay", she replies, as she picks up her plate and starts to finish off the remains of her apple pie and melted ice cream...
