Carrie is coming by with the food. Gesturing to Aaron's empty chair and place setting she says, "is he coming back?"
"Your guess is as good as ours", says Carl. Then he says to her, "So you're a folk singer. I think your husband mentioned the same the other day.
"Despite the pandemic, we're still doing coffee house night. It's going to be in a couple of weeks. Why don't you come?" Then, gesturing towards Aaron's place setting she says, "Should I take everything back?"
"Maybe just leave it the way it is."
"You never know with Aaron", says Sarah.
"I just don't understand what's going on", says Amanda.
"Neither do we", says Jennifer.
"Tristan hasn't said anything about this."
"It's pretty recent", says Jennifer.
"What happens", says Jesús, "Is he lives in a different dimension. He says that the creative process, for him, is like observing what's really going on, like in a parallel universe, and then he writes it all down. I know this sounds strange, but just yesterday he took me with him. Just suddenly we were in his apartment, and we talked for a while and took coffee."
"You expect me to believe this."
"You're not expected to believe anything, Amanda", says Carl. "we just kind of accept the strange happenings, since they seem to occur with us every day now. You get used to it after a while..., sort of"
