"Can you tell us a bit about the story?" says Jennifer.
"From what I can remember, it is kind of an adventure in magic realism, where a young Canadian with a mental health condition has been living as an adopted son with a family in northern Mexico. He embarks on a wander which turns into a bizarre, surreal and hallucinatory Odyssey, that lands him in a mental hospital. I titled it the Plumed Serpent, because there is a lot of imagery and symbolism from Aztec mythology.
"That sounds fascinating", says Sarah. When can we start?"
"Are we in the story?", says Jesús, chuckling.
"Would you like to be in the story?" says Aaron.
"Maybe if I get to be the hero", he says.
Jenn says, "What's this I hear that you are also writing about us?"
"It's kind of a long story" says Aaron.
"I can only imagine", she says. "Pun intended, by the way?"
"Might as well be intended", says Aaron laughing out loud. "It might as well be!"
